Sequoyah Caverns and Ellis Homestead
This Cavern was an AWESOME place to
visit!
Nick was our tour guide and he took his time showing us all the
detailed areas of this cavern- as well as answered all the questions we
could toss at him! This place is amazing and to know...
Bellingrath Gardens and Home
Beautiful gardens
I have been to Bellingrath Gardens many times. The Gardens are
beautiful, and many ancient varieties of camellias and azaleas adorn
the paths.
Cathedral Caverns State Park
I'm definately coming back!!
I live less than 15 miles away from the state park, but it never
occured to me to bring the kids to it. Rocks, right? But this is an
amazing underground tunnel. You're 500+ ft. underground,

Great Park, Very low Price
My wife, my 3 year old son and I were on our way back to Birmingham

waterfall. We paid for my wife and I and my son's admission was
free....
Birmingham Civil Rights Institute
This is the # 1 ranked thing to do in
Birmingham for good reason !!

only i have a student ID. ...

Great hidden treasure
We stopped by Rickwood Caverns State Park on our way home from a small

Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts
Child Friendly Fine Arts Museum
This museum is housed in a beautiful building across from the
magnificant Alabama Shakespere Festival. I found myself saying "this is
Montgomery Alabama???". The permanent collection
Pioneer Museum of Alabama
Worth the trip
Well-maintained grounds and facilities. The displays are interesting
and the director will take groups around and explain the history of the
artifacts with a liberal sprinkling of lesser-known amusing facts
